EARTH, AIR, FIRE & WATER

Why call a group "The Lewis and Clarke Expedition"? Because the story of five young men and their musical ideas is contained in that name. Travis Lewis and Boomer Clarke are explorers in the field of songwriting and, like the original Lewis and Clarke, they guide the expedition. It is their job to provide the group with something to say. In each song in this album you will see, hear and feel life as they interpret it. Their songs are a way of sharing a few moments with you in the midst of the joyful and bewildering experience of being young and very much alive.

John London, Johnny Raines and Ken Bloom bring color and power to the group, making the first Lewis and Clarke album a new world of sound experience. The lyrics and the music become a single, clear beam of light as John London makes the songs move with his bass, Johnny Raines accents your understanding with percussion, and Ken Bloom adds depth of meaning with one of the many instruments (forty-five in all) he has studied since childhood. The songs in this album range from the exciting melodies of Indian music to the crashing thunder of American rock 'n' roll. As you listen to them you discover that Lewis and Clarke want you to see the details of life. This is an album that reflects life, so plan on both laughter and tears. Brace yourself for wild, rhythmical experiences. Prepare to explore with them now and in the future.
