| When
the first Night Of A Thousand Clowns...I mean Gowns was scheduled,
the gala's planner decided it would be a big fat bore unless he
could get some of those downtown type queens to add color
to the affair. Rather than give out comps to the fundraiser, Lypsinka
and Sun were asked to work at the event. They were the only downtown
queens there and they, as Lypsinka DeVille and Aurora Van Davenport
ran the registration table for those who wished to be introduced
to the Royal Court. A perk was that these two also got
to be introduced and amidst the Princesses, Baronesses, Dutchesses
etc., Aurora was the only one with the where-with-all to be introduced
as a Goddess. You never saw a room with more 'harumphing' going
on. All those queens spending all those hours making themselves
look beautiful just so they can act ugly. (Sorry, that slipped out).
Sun never got it. Though this photo appeared in an issue of the
Advocate about New York night life it was taken at the Waldorf the
night of the event and a close-up (next page) of this dynamic duo
appeared in Interview Magazine as the headline photo they ran in
a piece about the event. To see more hilarity check out The
Aurora Van Davenport Gallery. Lypsinka is The Official Celebrity
Of The New Milllennium, be sure to visit her fabulous website, Lypsinka.com.
