fan snapped this shot of Aurora on the center go-go box under the historic
neons at one of Susanne Bartsch's monthly parties at the original Copacabana
(R.I.P.). Most of Sun's characters were left behind after a semi-retirement
and the ensuing Roxy years. Some, like Nacha morphed into the day-glo
persona Sun was to develop but Aurora continued to show up on special
occasions and always for Valentine's day. Yes, Sun was in Aurora drag
when the original Sound Factory closed on February 12th, 1995 (R.I.P.). |
