La'Toilette Jackson as Mahogany in "Dial M For Model" |
| The
producers of "Dial M For Model" had seen Sun perform as La'Toilette
and when they had trouble finding a real black queen for the part of Mahogany,
they decided to go with a faux black queen. "Dial M For Model"
was a brilliant musical written by John Epperson aka Lypsinka who also
starred as Mannequin, one of the trio of models who were the center of
the plot (photo in the 'Me
'n' The Lyp' Gallery). Talk about getting in under the wire, the show
was featured on the last episode of "Andy Warhol's 15 Minutes"!

Mahogany (Mahog for short) returned at the end of Act II she declared
that she had been working on her autobiography, "I, Mahog".
