from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Cugina is most famous for the number she performed
at Wigstock and at The Pyramid. "Disco Slut" was an ingenius
song that was a tribute to the "leading ladies of populah music"
of the day including among others "Belindar Cahlisle, Taylah Dayne,
Whitney Youston" and of course Cugina's idol (and main competition)
"Madonnar". The song was made up of the strung together song
titles by the female artists who were on the charts at the time. |
