Also
commissioned by Pompasello Productions for Nickelodeon were four 2 minute
songs for their popular show The Rug Rats. Art and Sun were asked to
write one of these. Two of the four submissions were to be selected
and made into little videos for a special Thanksgiving weekend promotion
featuring many of Nickelodeon's shows. Most "kiddie wiritng"
at the time (and still) followed the formula of using rap or 'oldies'
style approaches. At the time, Ace of Base and Snow were having huge
successes with a crossover dance-hall reggae 'n' rap sort of thing that
was extremely popular among teeny boppers. Art was insprired by Sun's
idea to take this approach and "Dey All Over De Floor" was
born. Sun sang on the unfinished song. Tom Pompasello practically guaranteed
this would be one of the chosen songs. Tom was quite upset when it wasn't
selected. So, needless to say were Art and Sun. Too bad it wasn't -
